Somara Theodore is an Emmy Award–winning meteorologist who has spent more than a decade bringing science and weather into homes across the country. You may have seen her as the Weekend Meteorologist on Good Morning America and even the Today Show. Beyond the television screen, Somara’s greatest joy is connecting with children and families, helping little ones understand the world around them while making weather feel fun, safe, and approachable.

As both a mom and an educator, Somara knows the power of nurturing curiosity early. She has taught broadcast meteorology at the University of Maryland, visited countless classrooms, and created interactive books and toys that turn everyday weather into exciting learning moments. Her goal is simple: to inspire children to feel confident, curious, and prepared, rain or shine.
